Changing an entity to Inactive

Changing an Entity's status to "Inactive"

Please be aware that deactivating an entity requires the "Make Entity Inactive" user right.
  1. In The Entities Section: 

    • Click on the Actions button, and then click on "Make Entity Inactive".
    • If there is no approval process, then the entity will then be marked as inactive.
    • If there is an approval process for making an entity inactive, then the below steps will occur: 
  2. Initiate the Inactivation Process

    • Once you click on the "Make Entity Inactive" option, the system will take you into the onboarding process.
    • A new text field labeled "Provide reason for marking entity Inactive" will appear at the bottom of the form.
    • Enter a reason for why the entity is being marked as inactive in this field.

  3. Submit the Request

    • After providing the reason, click the blue button "Submit for Approval at the bottom of the page. This will then send the request through an approval process. 


  4. Approver Action

    • The relevant approvers will receive the request. They will be able to see the reason for the entity being marked as inactive. If they would like to approve this change, they can then click the button "Make Entity Inactive". 


    • The status of the record will then change to Inactive.
